Wishing a very Happy Birthday to “Mean Mary” James, one of the most talented musicians in America, and a fan of this page!! (And she loves alligators!!!)

Mary writes her own songs, plays nine different instruments masterfully, sings and records them herself, and in her spare time, writes some beautiful books!! Needless to say, I am her biggest fan!!

I will post one of her YouTube videos at the bottom of this page, along with a link to her website. Please take the time to watch and listen to several of her songs on YouTube. I am quite certain you will be entertained, and amazed. Her music really can’t be categorized into any specific genre. It truly runs the gamut of style, moods, and feelings.

Then I would encourage you to consider purchasing a CD or five, and at least one of her award-winning books, from the store on her website.

My favorite two books are “Wherefore Art Thou, Jane”, winner of the Readers Favorite International Award Winner for Best Mystery Novel, and “God Knew There Would Be a Today”, which is a wonderful Daily Devotional.

She is a true slice of Americana!! So … Happy Birthday Mary!!

Meanwhile (back at the ranch), Pebbles and Bam Bam (Ospreys) have apparently successfully mated. Pebbles hasn’t laid her eggs yet, so they both just spend their days tidying it up and chowing down on their daily catches!!

Molly (Mama Gator) has built her nest and laid her eggs. Then the floods came. She truly looked forlorn as she swam circles around the nest area for a few days. You can see it in the photos. The water has receded, and she is guarding the nest again, so hopefully, everything is OK, and we’ll have babies in a few weeks!! Her photos are in chronological order, so you can see the highs and lows. The last two shots were taken today.
