Jeri is Flying!! 06-26-2021
Jeri is flying!! Tom wants to. I’m sure he will be flying in the next day or two. Pebbles and Bam Bam (Mama and Daddy) would fly into the nest with a fish, then leave still with the fish, and fly down the cove to lure the babies into flying. Pretty smart strategy. When Tom never left, Jeri flew back in with a fish of her own.
Tom fought her for it for several minutes, before conceding defeat. Jeri, however, didn’t eat her fish for over 30 minutes. Finally, Pebbles flew back in with another fish for Tom, and they all lived happily ever after!!
It’s hard to believe the babies are only 8 weeks old!! They are magnificent creatures!!

I don’t know how you tear yourself away from these exquisite creatures to do anything else! 💖 I could easily become that wild eccentric with leather skin, wearing coveralls, boots and a straw hat while I stomp through the swamp taking pictures, living on jerky and water and assisting God’s critters when necessary. But mostly, just watching. 😍
