So, I bought a little 10′ Pelican boat to see if I could get closer to some of my loyal subjects. Yesterday was my first day out, and, although it was a very foggy day (Is this London??), I managed to get some decent shots. Because of the fog, most of the photos are not as crisp as I would have liked, but I’m posting them anyway.

Among the things I was able to get decent shots of were several Great Egrets, a few Great Blue Herons, and an immature Bald Eagle. I also saw several Kingfishers, an Otter, and many other varieties of birds, but just couldn’t capture good enough photos. One of the Great Egrets was doing its mating dance for several minutes. It was so fun (and funny) to watch!!

I am tremendously excited, however, and hope to continue getting better and better shots. I hope y’all enjoy these. Please feel free to comment, and share with your friends and family.
