I was thrilled to see a juvenile American Bald Eagle right here in Jones County!! It was perched upon a pole light, with a wind sock behind it – hardly an American Flag, a Bible, and The Constitution – but still, it was quite a sight to see!! It was a dreary, foggy day, so the shots are grainy. Now that I know where it hangs out, I’m hoping to see it again on a brighter day and get some better shots.

Meanwhile, the Hawks are everywhere, Molly the Gator has laid her eggs and is guarding her nest in the woods, the ducks are starting to fly in, and the Otters are out. It’s going to be a fun Winter!!
