Soaring Tom 08-01-2021
The Osprey “Season” is drawing to an end. I haven’t seen Jeri in a couple of weeks, and Tom is hanging out further up the cove. He did fly by a couple of times just to say hey. These shots aren’t my best, but they do show off his majesty!!
Meanwhile, a cute little bunny rabbit popped up out of the woods, but a little Green Heron stole the show!!
Beautiful.
Thank you Becky!! (“Lost your email address” sure is a funny last name!!) 😎
I’ll send you an email later today.
Oh look at little Tom go! So awesome 👏. The Heron is beautiful. Thanks Danny for the photos!!
Thank you Annette!! You are very sweet!!
Thanks Danny. Never seen a bunny rabbit there, but probably missed several in my many trips to the Mounds.
This was up at Lake Oconee, Yvette. I don’t think I’ve seen a bunny rabbit at The Mounds either, now that you mention it. I’m sure they are around, though!!
Do you feel like your usuals get to know you and enjoy your visits? Or do they just go about their business as if you weren’t there?
I think it’s a little of both, Tammy. They definitely know I’m there. I hate it if I scare them away. I want them to enjoy their natural habitat, and not be afraid to remain/return. As you know, I do talk to many of them. I think some of them know my voice. The attempt, of course, is to soothe them and hopefully help them understand that I’m not there to harm them.
The Ospreys definitely fly right over me to determine whether or not it’s safe for them to land nearby. The results are mixed.
Do I talk too much? (Please don’t answer that!!!) 😎
Beautiful pictures. Hope all is well. The email addy you gave me won’t work.
I’ve been getting your emails and replying. Are you not receiving them?
